We are currently open for submissions to “Poems, Tales & Other English Words”, our new, quarterly, not-for-profit magazine.

Our first edition will have the theme of ‘Children’s Writing’ to help promote children’s literature and writers/artists whose work is specifically aimed at a young audience (up to the age of 12).

Young Adult material won’t be considered for this edition.

In order to stick to the theme, all submissions MUST be either FOR children, or BY children. If you are submitting on behalf of a child, please make this clear in the email header and please also include the age of the child and their school year.

We are currently looking for:

• Children’s poems
• Children’s short stories of up to 2,000 words
• Children’s flash-fiction of up to 1,000 words
• Bedtime stories
• Artwork/photography that is specifically created for children
• Self-Published authors who would like to be interviewed!
• Stories written by children (up to 300 words)

Artists and authors whose work is chosen for publication will have access to a free magazine download. Hard copies will be available at cost.

All submissions will be considered, and feedback will be given if requested. Submissions do not have to be exclusive, and you retain all rights to your work.

Submission Guidelines

• Please add your name and title of your work in a header/footer on each page.
• Please make it clear which category you are submitting to, and include a word count.
• Choose an easy-to-read font such as Arial or Times New Roman and double space your lines.
